Personally I don't use the camera connected to the PC, as I want to upload myself, using a card reader. ![]() This will install further software and will look on the 'removable media' (the disk) if nessesary. You can hit the shutterbutton shortly to set the camera to on if the switch is on on) Switch on the camera (These cameras will switch off after X seconds of idle, so the on/off switch is not the only thing to look at. When done installing first switch off the camera I don't know the installation routine by heart, but you should at least install the DRIVER(s). ![]() If it does not autorun, try and find a 'setup.exe' and run that. ![]() You should 'install' the EOS utility disk first. Now the camera is blank even though it's turned on, and isn't doing anything. I did so, but it was an 'Unknown Device' and I couldn't find it anywhere on the computer. I ran it, and it told me to connect my camera via the USB and it should be automatically detected and installed by the computer. As instructed I inserted the EOS Utility disk which didn't auto-run (I'm not sure if that is normal) but I found a PDF file under my computer. It was working fine taking photos yesterday but the problem came when I wanted to Transfer the photos to the computer.
